An exploration of the relationship between symmetry and readability within the Roman alphabet. The four styles of the typeface are created by cutting Helvetica in half in various ways and reflecting it over a vertical or horizontal axis. By doing so, one can see how asymmetry is essential in the legibility of certain letters while others are virtually unchanged.
